Our advisory work falls into 3 main areas:

  • Succession Planning
    Some of the most sensitive and delicate work in which we engage involves preparation for executive and non-executive transitions.  In these situations our role flexes between sounding board, facilitator and party whip.  Trust between different parties is imperative, as is frequent and open communication.  A sense of timing and an appreciation for the interests of different Board members is crucial.  Peloton possesses deep experience in guiding Boards through succession planning exercises.  
  • Management & Board Assessment
    Whether as part of a due diligence exercise prior to an investment round or as a general performance review, Peloton is often asked to assess the efficacy, credibility and potential of Boards and Management teams. Our assessment programmes are comprehensive, employing a mix of different strategies. We consider any assessment against the objectives of the Board, as well as the performance and background of other teams from similar and/or competitive businesses.
  • Executive Due Diligence & Validation
    Appointments of Board and C-level executives are critical, yet risky. Our Executive Due Diligence & Validation service aims to support de-risking of such decisions by performing comprehensive background and performance checks on candidates. This involves intelligence gathering and verification far beyond the point of referencing. The aim is to provide a fully verified account of a person's background, education and career, ensuring that a Board's understanding and expectations are aligned with a candidate's history and capabilities.
